Suspended baffles and banners provide an excellent means of allowing large quantities of acoustically absorptive material to be uniformly distributed throughout an area. Since the materials used in constructing most schools, gymnasiums, conference and manufacturing facilities are very hard, reverberant noise can seriously aggravate an already noisy environment. Reverberant Noise is sound energy radiating from a source (such as voices or production machinery) which impacts on surrounding hard surfaces, amplifies and then is reflected back toward the source. In these situations, suspended baffles and banners can effectively reduce ambient noise levels by up to 10 dB.
